Ghost Dance

This is from a limited edition of prints (50 per painting) from JB Vallely's 2026 From Wounded Knee to Gaza series. Each print is on high-quality art paper and is signed, captioned and numbered by the artist.  The Ghost Dance was a ritual circular dance associated with millenarian Native American religious movements that looked forward to restoration of the indigenous way of life and an end to colonial oppression. The Ghost Dance began in Nevada in 1889, and was soon taken up by the Lakota Sioux in South Dakota. The local US Army command formed the view that the Ghost Dance presaged an uprising, and their horrific overreaction included the 1890 Wounded Knee massacre.

Unframed prints can be collected in Armagh, delivered free within a 15-mile radius, or posted in strong cardboard tubes. Expertly framed prints (allow 3 weeks for framing) are for collection or free delivery within 15 miles.
