Gaza 3rd May 2008

This is from a limited edition of prints (50 per painting) from JB Vallely's 2026 From Wounded Knee to Gaza series. Each print is on high-quality art paper and is signed, captioned and numbered by the artist. J.B. Vallely's solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and in particular with the people of Gaza, goes back decades. Having seen a photograph from Gaza in a newspaper dated 3rd May 2008, he immediately recalled the Goya Fusilamiento commemorating the same date in 1803, and began work on a vast canvas that took almost a decade to complete. It is now normally on display in the substantial Vallely collection in Benburb Priory, but will be in Belfast in July-August 2026 for the Féile an Phobail exhibition in St Mary's University College, Falls Road.

Unframed prints can be collected in Armagh, delivered free within a 15-mile radius, or posted in strong cardboard tubes. Framed prints (allow 3 weeks for framing) are for collection or free delivery within 15 miles.
